"Herd Wear" Retail Store

Buffalo Gold is in the process of relocating their operation, and the bison herd, to the North rim of the Palo Duro Canyon, near Goodnight, Texas. Our bison, and our business (including our first full service retail store and gallery), will be located on a part of the historic Goodnight Buffalo Ranch, about 40 miles southeast of Amarillo.

The original Goodnight Buffalo Ranch headquarters has undergone a detailed and historically accurate restoration, under the watchful supervision of Monty Gooden and the board of the Armstrong County Museum.

Not familiar with the story of Col. Charles and Mary Ann Goodnight, and their role in saving the southern bison herd from extinction back in the 1870's? We'll post some excerpts about these two devoted, creative and exceptional personalities soon. So plan your road trip to west Texas in the next year or two for some real buffalo adventure. We are honored and excited to be included.
